I offer a warm and confidential space for you to talk and feel heard.  Together we can explore any challenges you are facing. Sessions might offer fresh insights, healing, a sense of direction or practical tools you can start implementing in your life straight away to improve your mental and emotional wellbeing. 

My background

I grew up in rural Ireland in a challenging home environment that set me on a path for wanting to understand relationships, human behaviour and our ability to grow and change. 

I have a Diploma in Life Coaching, Diploma in Counselling, I’ve studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through the Beck Institute (the founders of CBT). I’m also a qualified EFT practitioner (Emotional Freedom Technique) and mindfulness practicioner. I have a BA(hons) in Communication studies, and have been a facilitator for teens. I’ve also volunteered for environmental and community organisations in New Zealand and abroad

How I work

I have a warm, friendly approach that clients enjoy.  My focus is to meet clients where they are at and assess what their needs are and how I can best support them in moving forward to where they want to be. I offer a range of therapies depending on what clients are looking for.

Communication and assertiveness skills

Learn the art of communicating in ways that build greater understanding and a more secure and loving bond with your partner. My work with couples is informed by Emotionally focused therapy, the Gottman school as well as my own lived experience of what works well. Learn how to overcome people pleasing and how to develop assertiveness in your relationships.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

I came across Cognitive behavioral therapy when I was looking for a way to help clients to break free of unhealthy thinking patterns. CBT is a fantastic way of being able to do that, giving you new ways of responding to life’s challenges while building resilience. I’m very excited to be able to share this and other modalities with my clients. For me it’s about sharing with my clients practical tools and skills to transform their daily lives.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Technique is a body based therapy and is a fast and effective tool for healing emotional distress.

Mindfulness and self acceptance

Mindfulness helps you to break free from the hamster wheel of constant worry and overthinking so you can learn to live more peacefully and calmly in the present moment. This is a great practice for those who lead busy and stressful lives.

Have you got a harsh inner critic? Is it helping? Probably not. 

I enjoy helping clients to develop a kinder and more helpful internal voice that is like a good boss or parent. There for you in hard times, understanding, encouraging and empowering. 

Real change happens from the inside out

I believe that real change happens from the inside out. When we are truly ready to change our behavior major shifts can happen with a little help. I hope I have the opportunity to connect with you and help you make the changes you want in your life and relationships.
